Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has returned to work after being hospitalized with pneumonia.
Howe missed matches against Manchester United, Crystal Palace, and Aston Villa while he was in the hospital due to the illness.
However, Newcastle United has announced that Howe has resumed his duties at the club's training ground ahead of Saturday's Premier League match against Ipswich.
The club's statement did not confirm whether Howe will be back on the sidelines for the game against Ipswich.
"Newcastle United are delighted to confirm that Eddie Howe has returned to his duties at the club's Training Centre," the club stated.
"Eddie had recently been hospitalized with pneumonia and has now returned to work following a period of recovery."
Assistant manager Jason Tindall has been acting as interim boss, leading the team to impressive victories over Manchester United and Crystal Palace before a heavy defeat at Aston Villa.
Howe's return is a significant boost for Newcastle as they approach their final four games of the Premier League season, aiming to secure a top-five finish for Champions League qualification.
Newcastle currently sit in fifth place in a closely contested race, with Chelsea and Aston Villa two points behind, although Unai Emery's Aston Villa have played an additional game.
