Will Barton, an NBA veteran and former CBA foreign player, announced his retirement on social media today.

Barton wrote on social media: "A 13-year professional career, with 11 years spent in the NBA. Where has all the time gone? When I was young and carefree, I never imagined that everything would end in this way, but here we are. God, I promise this is everything I've ever dreamed of, and even more. God, thank you for leading me on this wonderful journey, not only blessing me with talent, but also with vision and faith. Thank you to all those who have helped me and walked alongside me on this journey. Whether we succeeded or not, you were all that I needed, and I am grateful to you all. I hope that I can also give hope and inspiration to others. The ups and downs of life are all worth it. Basketball gave me a purpose, and I look forward to the next chapter of my life. I know that because of basketball, I will get through everything safely, as basketball has taught me never to give up and to keep fighting. Thank you, basketball, the greatest sport of all time, for changing my life forever and giving me something to believe in. I will always love basketball and remember everything it has taught me. Here's a toast to this game... forever. We really made it. Although we were prepared, it still feels like a dream. Without a doubt, you made it, and it's so exciting!"
