Aston Villa have held internal discussions about a potential move for Kevin De Bruyne, according to Sky Sports.
De Bruyne announced earlier this month that this season will be his last at the Etihad Stadium. It is the final year of his current contract, and Villa could be interested in signing the 33-year-old midfielder when he leaves Manchester City.
De Bruyne's hesitation to relocate his family and his focus on balancing football with his personal life have drawn interest from several Premier League clubs.
Four MLS clubs—Inter Miami, which holds his discovery rights, Chicago Fire, NYCFC, and D.C. United—have inquired about De Bruyne's professional and financial expectations.
Serie A club Como is also exploring the possibility of signing De Bruyne.
On April 4, it was confirmed that De Bruyne will depart Manchester City after a decade filled with major trophies.
The 33-year-old has won 16 trophies with City, including six Premier League titles, the Champions League, five League Cup victories, and two FA Cups. He is out of contract in the summer.
The Belgium international has scored 107 goals in 417 appearances.
He joined Manchester City in a £54.5m deal from Wolfsburg in 2015 under manager Manuel Pellegrini and excelled further after Pep Guardiola took over the following year.
He has established himself as one of the greatest players in Manchester City's history and a highly influential figure in the Premier League era.
