Harry Kane provided 1 goal and 1 assist, together with Michael Olise who scored the winning goal in 84th minute against Boca, to lifted Bayern Munich into the knockout stages of the Club World Cup on Friday night.
The German champions made it two wins in Group C and secured their place in the round of 16 with a game to spare.
Olise secured the victory at Hard Rock Stadium after Miguel Merentiel had put Boca in position for a draw with a brilliant solo goal in the 66^(th) minute.
Bayern took the lead through Harry Kane's clinical finish in the 18^(th) minute, but then missed a host of chances before Merentiel's equaliser.
It looked like Bayern were going to be held until Olise's cool finish. Collecting Kane's pass inside the box, the forward curled a powerful, first-time shot into the bottom corner.
Bayern have the luxury of resting players for their final group game against second-placed Benfica on Tuesday, which could spell trouble for Boca. The Argentinian giants, who play Auckland, need Bayern to beat Benfica if they are to have any chance of advancing to the next round.
The only bad news for Bayern is that midfield player Jamal Musiala came on as a substitute in the 57^(th) minute and was substituted off after playing for less than half an hour due to injury. The extent of the injury is still unclear, which could seriously impact Bayern's chances in the Club World Cup.
