David Raya is convinced Arsenal have what it takes to turn the 1-0 deficit against Paris Saint-Germain around at Parc des Princes next week.
PSG winger Ousmane Dembele’s first-half strike proved decisive at the Emirates Stadium, while goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was key, making a series of crucial saves throughout the match. Raya meanwhile, denied attempts from Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Marquinhos.
Despite the result, Mikel Arteta's side remain hopeful of a comeback in Paris, with Raya commending his teammates' efforts and emphasizing the positives.
"Well, they started very quick with the goal and I thought they dominated the first 15, 20 minutes but after that, I thought we dominated most of the game," he told Amazon Prime Video.
"But credit to the players, for the effort that we put on the pitch and we could have won the game as well. We know they keep the possession a lot and they're really good at that and obviously had that chance and they put it in the back of the net.
"Obviously that went for them and that's football. We had chances to score but we didn't manage to put it in [the] goal. I've not seen the disallowed goal back, but we showed from the 20th-25th minute that we can win that game and we showed this season we can win an away game as well so we're going to Paris next week to win the game."
