Marcus Rashford is set to join Aston Villa on a permanent deal.
The Manchester United academy graduate recently left Old Trafford after being frozen out under Ruben Amorim, and has moved to Villa Park for the remainder of the season. However, Rashford's move to the Midlands has already given him a new lease of life.
The Manchester United and England striker is set to make his January loan move to Aston Villa permanent.
The player was always going to have to make a decision this summer, with Villa holding a £40 million purchase option. Rashford himself is keen to stay and play under Unai Emery and has told those close to him that he feels revitalised at Villa Park, reports The Sun.
Rashford appears to have been persuaded to make the move to Villa permanent. European giants Barcelona and PSG have been linked, while clubs in Italy, Germany and Saudi Arabia are monitoring his form ahead of the summer window.
Emery admitted he was relishing the prospect of getting Rashford back to his best as he said: "I think his potential is huge potential to exploit. I don't want to know the reason he is leaving from Manchester but I am very happy keeping him here.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are less keen to keep hold of Rashford and have turned their attention to recruiting a number nine.
The Red Devils are keen to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in the next transfer window. Manchester United are prepared to sell 22-year-old Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund to secure Osimhen's signature.
