Manchester City have identified Valencia star Peperu as a potential replacement for the injured Rodri in the January transfer window.
According to FootballTransfers, Manchester City is interested in signing Peperu in January as a replacement for the injured Rodri. He is a key player for Valencia and has made 52 appearances since joining in 2023, and Manchester City's scouts have conducted extensive checks on his abilities.
Peperu is seen as a cost-effective option, despite having a release clause worth €100 million in his contract. Valencia signed him from Levante for just €5 million (£4m/$5m) last summer. His contract runs until 2028, but Manchester City is a club that can easily afford that figure.
Peperu has captained Valencia several times this season and is a former Spanish youth international. He has been called up to the national team but has yet to win a senior cap.
Manchester City will continue to monitor Peperu's form closely. He will play against Rayo Vallecano in his next game this weekend.
