Jude Bellingham was the Man Of the Match last night. His impressive performance helped England secure a 5-goal victory.
The win on Sunday was down to the whole team, but Bellingham stood out as the one causing problems for Ireland for large parts of the game. The visitors did well to restrict England's wingers, who had so much success against Greece on Thursday. This forced the hosts to come inside and play through the Real Madrid star.
Bellingham thought he'd done enough to end his own goal drought in Athens when his strike hit the post and bounced off the goalkeeper before going in, but he got the assist and set up two more at Wembley, for Bowen and Harwood-Bellis.
Despite Madrid's injury problems at a tricky time of the season, the 21-year-old was one of the few starters who didn't pull out of the squad.
Jude Bellingham's stats against Ireland:
- 2 assists
- 1 penalty won
- 117 touches
- 83/93 passes completed
- 7 duels won
- 5 ball recoveries
- 3 fouls won
