Manchester United continue to pursue Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford, though no agreement has been reached yet. The deal depends on negotiating his valuation, following reports that United increased their initial £55m offer to an overall package exceeding £60m, as per ESPN sources last week. Despite having funds at Old Trafford, CEO Omar Berrada is adamant that United will not overpay, even for a top target like Mbeumo. United remain confident that Mbeumo prefers joining them over Spurs, despite growing interest since Thomas Frank's appointment as manager. Meanwhile, Manchester City expect a quiet period while players, staff, and executives are involved in the Club World Cup. Further signings, particularly a right-back, are not ruled out but are unlikely during their time in the United States. City's main challenge is arranging exits for Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker. There is interest from the Premier League and Turkey in Walker, and with only one year left on his contract, facilitating a move should be straightforward. Grealish presents a different scenario; with two years remaining on his lucrative contract, few clubs can afford it, so City might accept a season-long loan to move him from the Etihad Stadium.
