According to reporter Gambadoro: "They don’t want him back. But he’s untradeable, and if he refuses a buyout, the Suns might be stuck with him. During their coaching search, one question they asked candidates was, ‘How would you handle Beal?’ They absolutely do not want him and are exploring every option to move on."

Gambadoro added that a buyout is unlikely because Beal won’t accept anything less than the full $110 million remaining on his contract, making a resolution extremely difficult.
