Derry City is expected to be without defenders Shane Ferguson and Ben Doherty for Friday's match, as they sustained injuries in their last game against Bohemians, while Cameron Dummigan and Sadou Diallo remain in the treatment room.
Robbie Benson will also miss the game after receiving a red card in the final 10 minutes against Bohemians, with Ronan Boyce likely stepping into Ferguson's starting spot in defense.
Gavin Whyte, Patrick Hoban, and Liam Boyce are competing for attacking positions after Danny Mullen played as the lone striker last time out.
Galway United will likely continue without midfielder Jimmy Keohane, who has been sidelined since mid-April.
John Caulfield may field the same starting XI as in their draw against Shamrock Rovers, with Rob Slevin and Garry Buckley maintaining their center-back partnership after a clean sheet.
Moses Dyer will continue leading the line, having scored a league-high nine goals this season.
Derry City possible starting lineup:
Maher; R Boyce, Cann, Connolly, Holt, Todd; O'Reilly, Winchester, McMullan; Mullen, L Boyce
Galway United possible starting lineup:
