Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira hopes his team will give fans one last reason to celebrate by securing a victory against Brentford on Sunday.
This Premier League season at Molineux, which started as a potential relegation battle, was significantly improved when Pereira took over from Gary O’Neil in December.
Although Wolves cannot rise above their current 14th position, Pereira believes the entire club can feel satisfied with their achievements.
“I feel proud of everyone because it's all about teamwork,” the Portuguese coach stated on wolves.co.uk.
“I’m proud of the players, the staff, and everyone at the club, as we faced major challenges but managed to secure our Premier League status.”
“I’m also very proud of our supporters, as the work we accomplished together was truly incredible.”
“Now, playing at home in front of them, it's the ideal moment to express our gratitude for their fantastic support, which helped us overcome the difficult situation we were in.”
