Wolves are planning to offer a new contract to midfielder Nouri, who is valued at £50 million, as the club is about to welcome a critical summer transfer window under the leadership of new coach Pereira.

The Algerian international has been frequently scouted by Liverpool and Manchester City in recent seasons, but Wolves are expected to discuss an improved contract with him before the new season. As Manchester United target Cunha may leave the team with a £62.5 million release clause, Wolves regard Nouri as the core of the future and are determined to retain the backbone of the lineup.

The 23-year-old Nouri has performed more steadily this season. After Pereira took office in December last year, Nouri has been like a fish in water in his preferred tactical system. The left-wing back has two years left on his current contract, and Wolves executives are ready to reward his improved performance with a new contract.

Liverpool has long been interested in this player, but their top target in this position is Bournemouth's Kolkez, and Manchester City has also stated that they will not launch a purchase this summer.

If Wolves finally decide to sell Nouri, it is expected that a special clause will be activated. When the player was introduced from Angers for £10 million in July 2021, the agreement included a 50% secondary transfer share clause, but Wolves can buy out the clause with about £9 million. Wolves may pay £9 million directly to Angers to avoid having to share more with the other party in the future.
