Freiburg vs B. Leverkusen
Match preview
Freiburg ran out 1-0 winners at Wolfsburg last Saturday thanks to Max Rosenfelder's 41st-minute strike, although they will be disappointed to have managed just one shot on target in the second half as Wolves were reduced to 10 men in the 26th minute.
Julian Schuster's side kept their first clean sheet in six games, a run in which they have conceded 11 goals and scored 10.
The Breisgau-Brazilians are just two points clear of fifth-placed RB Leipzig, but they are also four points behind third-placed Eintracht Frankfurt, who they face in the final game of the season on 17 May.
The hosts go into Sunday's game on the back of three successive wins, although they have drawn three and lost two of their previous five matches.
Freiburg's form at the Europa-Park Stadium has been less consistent, with just one win and two defeats in their last four home games.
Meanwhile, Leverkusen created just one clear-cut chance to Augsburg's two, and only managed one shot on target from inside the area in the second half.
To their credit, the visitors have kept three clean sheets in their last four games, but have only found the back of the net four times in that time.
Even if the black-and-whites manage to win on Sunday, a draw for Bayern Munich against RB Leipzig on Saturday would all but seal the title, as the Bavarians' goal difference of 61 is 30 more than the reigning champions'.
Leverkusen will be hoping for a repeat of their 5-1 win over Freiburg on 21 December, and have now won three consecutive games against the hosts.
Xabi Alonso has led his side to two wins and two draws in his last four games in charge, and they have won four of their last six league games without suffering a defeat.
Leverkusen's last away defeat in the Bundesliga came against VfL Bochum at the end of May 2023, a run of 23 wins and eight draws.

Team News
Freiburg's only injury concern is midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, but regular starters Maximilian Eggestein and Patrick Osterhage are available.
The duo are likely to be called upon to provide cover for centre-backs Matthias Ginter and Philipp Lienhart, who started against Wolfsburg.
Junior Adamu is likely to start as a striker ahead of a supporting cast that includes Ritsu Doan, Lucas Holer and Vincenzo Grifo.
Leverkusen will be without defenders Jeanuel Belocian, Mario Hermoso and Nordi Mukiele.
Alonso is almost certain to name Edmond Tapsoba, Jonathan Tah and Piero Hincapie in a back three behind midfielders Granit Xhaka and Exequiel Palacios.
Up front, Florian Wirtz and Emiliano Buendia could play in an attacking role behind Patrik Schick with Martin Terrier and Victor Boniface injured.
Possible starting lineup
Freiburg possible starting lineup:
Muller; Kubler, Ginter, Lienhart, Makengo; Eggestein, Osterhage; Doan, Holer, Grifo; Adamu
Bayer Leverkusen possible starting lineup:
Hradecky; Tapsoba, Tah, Hincapie; Frimpong, Xhaka, Palacios, Grimaldo; Buendia, Wirtz; Schick
