According to the latest report from Gazzetta dello Sport, during the international match day, Juventus executives are considering replacing the team's head coach, with Mancini and Tudor among them.
The suspension of the league reportedly gave Juventus' top management time to carefully think about coaching issues and plans to compete for Champions League qualification, which is the primary goal that cannot be lost in the final nine rounds of games.
The core issue of internal discussions in recent days has been roughly: is it more likely to rely on Motta to make the team more likely to finish fourth and secure the UEFA bonus that is crucial to the club's finances, or is it more likely to make an immediate impact by changing coaches?
Sporting director Giuntoli confirmed Motta's position in his speech after the match against Fiorentina, but his own future is also under consideration by the top management.
Next Saturday's home game against Genoa feels like Motta's last chance, during which Plan B is being worked on directly or indirectly. Motta is currently under pressure from two candidates: Mancini and Tudor.
Mancini has a track record of winning, while Tudor, in addition to his knowledge of the club and the environment, is accustomed to "taking over" on the way: the last time was last year when he took over Lazio, and both were attracted by the possible opportunities.
Between Mancini and Tudor, there are also people who dream of inviting Zidane to take over Juventus. He is familiar with the club's environment and has excellent coaching results.
Mancini and Tudor are not afraid of the pressure of competing for fourth place or the Club World Cup and are willing to arrive in Turin tomorrow, however, they both want a longer contract, at least until the 2025-26 season.
Internally, they would prefer a temporary coach so as not to rule out the possibility of bringing in Conte, Pioli or Gasperini at the end of the season.
For these reasons, whoever can agree first between Tudor and Mancini on a contract lasting just four months will likely have the upper hand, unless Juve are willing to offer a year and a half (in which case Mancini would have the upper hand).
