Since joining Juventus on loan in January this year, Veiga has only made 9 appearances in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League, and his performances have not been outstanding. Juventus seemingly has no plan to buy out Veiga's contract. As the club that owns his rights, Chelsea also does not consider him as part of their future plans. Currently, Tottenham Hotspur has shown interest in Veiga and is preparing to sign him next season. The manager, Ange Postecoglou, sees Veiga as a potential replacement for Cristian Romero, whose future at Tottenham Hotspur remains uncertain.

Chelsea signed Veiga from Basel for 14 million euros in the summer of 2023. He played 18 games for the Blues at the start of the season and scored 2 goals in the UEFA Europa Conference League.
