
Thomas Tuchel‘s first England camp: Old faces and new faces

England's stars have arrived at St George's Park as Thomas Tuchel brings his squad together for the first time.
The German coach selected a 26-man squad heading into his first fixtures in charge of the Three Lions. Fixtures against Albania and Latvia await and Tuchel will soon lead training for a group that prompted some surprise.
Jordan Henderson cut a very happy figure upon his return to St George's Park. The Ajax midfielder has not been selected for England duties since November 2023.The former Liverpool star may already be 34 but he had a smile as big as someone joining the group for the first time on Monday.
Rashford makes a swift return to international action following his loan to Aston Villa. The Manchester United loanee beat new team-mate Ollie Watkins for a spot, despite being predominantly used from the bench by Unai Emery.
The forward has endured a difficult season but delivered a firm thumbs as he made his way into the building, suitcase in hand.
Reece James was a slight surprise to be named in Tuchel's squad as he continues to attempt to maintain his fitness for an extended period. But few have as intimate a knowledge of what the Chelsea captain is capable of as the former boss of the west London side.
Fresh faces, Dan Burn, who scored at Wembley to spark his hometown club to Carabao Cup glory little under 24 hours ago, was showing no ill-effects as he arrived for his first England call-up.
Another new face arrived in Arsenal's Myles Lewis-Skelly. The teenage star has made his name at left-back for the Gunners this term and has been presented with an early opportunity to show his talents on the international stage.
Experienced heads and stars all joined together on Monday. Tuchel's new England team will face Albania and Latvia on the 21st and 24th.
