Barcelona have made a big call by picking young midfielder Noah Darvich for their UEFA Champions League squad.

According to a recent SPORT report, the club has updated its official list of players eligible for the prestigious European competition.

At the start of the season in September, Barcelona submitted two lists of players to UEFA, known as List A and List B. Each list has specific rules about who can play.

Typically, List B is for grassroots footballers born in 2003 or later, who have to meet certain development criteria within the club.

At first, only Gerard Martíin and Unai Hernandez from the reserve team were on the main List A, but with Hernandez leaving for the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, a spot opened up.

Barcelona have now confirmed that Noah Darvich will fill this vacancy. The UEFA has officially published the revised list, confirming the German midfielder's inclusion.

The 18-year-old is a promising talent, but he's still got a way to go if he wants to become a key player.

He's had a bit of a setback with an injury recently, and he still hasn't nailed down a regular spot in the Barcelona reserve team since joining in the summer of 2023.

But he's got a lot of potential, and it's great to see him in the Champions League squad.

Hansi Flick hasn't relied on the German youngster a lot yet, but this call-up is a golden opportunity for him. If needed, Flick can now count on Darvich for the crucial round of 16 matches.

The club's decision to include him shows they believe in his future potential, and it'll be great for him to show his talent on the grand European stage.
