On Saturday, 1. FC Saarbrücken will have to do without Patrick Sontheimer for the first time this season; the 26-year-old defensive midfielder is missing due to a yellow card suspension. Sontheimer has started every game so far and, together with goalkeeper Phillip Menzel, is currently probably the strongest player in Saarbrücken. Accordingly, the Saarlanders are also willing to extend Sontheimer's contract, which expires in the summer.
