On Sunday, Hannover 96 played probably their worst away game of the season in the 1-0 defeat in Fürth. Little to nothing works for the traditional club on foreign pitches.
Stefan Leitl doesn't even beat around the bush or try to find excuses. “It wasn’t enough in Fürth,” admitted the Hannover 96 coach after Sunday’s 1-0 defeat at the game association. Everything pointed to a 0-0 draw, which would have corresponded to the level of the game, when the Fürth team struck after a corner. Striker Noel Futkeu scored for the hosts in the 83rd minute with the first real chance to score of the game. “It was actually a 0-0 game,” says Leitl. "We had control in our own half. But in the transition area up to the final third there was just far too little to score a goal."
