Four players got their first goals in England's 5-0 win over Ireland. Anthony Gordon, Conor Gallagher, Jarrod Bowen and Tyler Harwood-Bellis all scored, while Harry Kane also found the net.
The Bayern Munich star thinks that the new England manager, Thomas Tuchel, has a great group of players to choose from. The German head coach will take charge on 1 January, with qualification for the 2026 World Cups in Canada, the United States and Mexico up for grabs throughout 2025, as the squad prepares for the tournament.
"We spoke about new opportunities for new lads, and they've shown why they are here and a couple of good finishes," he told ITV.
Kane continued: "It was nice for Jarrod too to come on and score straight away."Thomas has a lot of players to choose from.A lot of young players that have come in and done well and some more experienced players that are injured and will be looking to come back, so there's a good balance.I'm sure he [Tuchel] will be looking at everyone."
Lee Carsley's time as England's interim manager came to a happy end. He's the man who got England back into the Nations League A competition. And Kane was full of praise for his head coach.
"He has been top drawer, him and all the staff," he said."After the Euros, it was never going to be easy to come and go straight into the Nations League and sometimes the motivation is a bit less.“
“I'm really glad we won today and finished off on a high.A really important win for us.It has been a really good camp and two tough games. We got the job done in Greece and again here.”
