Ahead of the Nations League double-header, a number of England's key players had to pull out of the squad due to injuries and fatigue.

Some big names are missing from the squad, including Manchester City's Jack Grealish and Phil Foden, Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Everton's rising star Jarrad Branthwaite. Chelsea's Cole Palmer and Levi Colwill, along with Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice, also left the squad, along with Southampton goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Kane, who is England's captain, didn't hold back when he was asked about the withdrawals. The Bayern Munich striker is known for his dedication to the national team. He said that playing for England is the most important thing, and that his colleagues should value answering the Three Lions' call above all else.

In response to Kane's comments, interim manager Carsley offered a more balanced view, pointing out the physical challenges players face during the November window.

"It's his opinion," Carsley said about Kane's comments. "I can only focus on what we're dealing with right now." November is a tricky time. In the past, we've had eight or nine call-offs. It's definitely that time of year when tiredness and minor injuries have an impact. "I think it's a great chance for the other players who weren't on the squad before. Now it's their time to shine."

Despite the hurdles, the England team is heading to Greece with confidence, aiming for a strong performance to secure their place at the top of the group. After that, they'll be playing Ireland at Wembley on 17 November.
