Yamal has lit the world alight over the last two seasons, having first shone as a 15-year-old at Barcelona after stepping out of their famed La Masia academy system. The wonderkid's hype has been further propagated by his consistent performances for the Catalan side and his enormous showing for Spain at Euro 2024. As such, it had been reported that Paris Saint-Germain were interested in signing the youngster to fill the Kylian Mbappe-sized hole in their squad.

Bara - a football agent who currently manages the likes of Dani Olmo, Alvaro Morata and Nacho Fernandez among others - has backed up the reports and claimed that Paris Saint-Germain made a bid in the region of €250 million (£211m/$277m) for Yamal during the 2024 summer transfer window. The agent, who is reportedly very close to Barcelona president Joan Laporta and sporting director Deco, said the club immediately turned down the Ligue 1 side's offer.

Speaking on Podcast Inkubator, Bara said: “One thing I know for sure is that Barcelona did reject a big offer for Lamine Yamal from PSG some months ago. The deal was worth somewhere around €250 million."

The 17-year-old vowed to never leave the club over the last week as he aims to become a Barcelona legend. However, football fairytales rarely come to fruition and whether Yamal can achieve his dream will remain to be seen.
