Arsenal could be offered Paris Saint-Germain's Randal Kolo Muani as they look for a replacement for Bukayo Saka. The latter suffered a hamstring injury in the just-concluded Premier League campaign and has to be sidelined until January next year.
The Gunners may be forced to make a big move in the January transfer market as they lost two wingers, Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling, last week, both to injury. Saka tore his hamstring in the club's 5-1 win over Crystal Palace last Saturday and is out for several weeks, while Sterling has a knee injury.
According to The Standard, Arsenal could be offered Paris Saint-Germain outcast Randal Kolo Muani. The French striker has fallen out of favor under head coach Luis Enrique, playing 14 games in all competitions this season, playing only 453 minutes. The 26-year-old would not mind leaving in January, even if it is just a short-term loan to get more game time.
Saka's injury will definitely affect the Gunners, as the schedule in the next few weeks is very tight. This season, he has scored 9 goals and contributed 13 assists in 24 games, participating in most of the goals scored by the Gunners. Although Jesus's recovery in the last two games has allowed Gunners fans to see the team's good offensive state, Saka's absence is obviously a loss on another level.
As for Kolo Muani, the 26-year-old Frenchman is a striker on the field and can also play multiple positions in the frontcourt. He has played for Nantes in Ligue 1 and Frankfurt in the Bundesliga. It was in Frankfurt that Kolo became famous, scoring 26 goals and sending 17 assists that season, and later participated in the Qatar World Cup with the French team. After the season, Muani returned to Ligue 1 to join PSG for a transfer fee of 95 million euros, but he did not meet people's expectations due to injuries and poor form in the past two seasons.
Next, Arsenal, ranked third, will face newly promoted Ipswich Town. Arteta's team is 6 points behind league leader Liverpool and 2 points behind second-placed Chelsea. Whether this gap will change before 2025, please wait and see.
