Manchester United will look to put behind the 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth when they head to the West Midlands to face Wolves on Boxing Day.

Ruben Amorim's side were stunned by an in-form Bournemouth team as they set a Christmas Day record not matched since 1989 at Old Trafford. They will spend the festive day in 13th place in the table after being dumped from the Carabao Cup in the quarter-finals stage.

"It’s a lot of mental but you can feel it not just the players but the fans," Amorim said in his post-match press-conference. "In the first goal kick with Andre Onana, he’s thinking what to do and push the other guys and everybody is so anxious. At this moment, everybody in the club is tired of these moments.

"We have to face it and focus on the next game. We know what to do, we have to address a lot of things but we are ready to do it. We aready knew that the challenge is big, it’s really tough on the fans, the players, that they are losing 2-0 at home so they want to score two goals."

Mason Mount

Injury: Leg muscle.

Mount limped off in the first half of United's 2-1 win over Manchester City last Sunday at the Etihad Stadium.

What Amorim has said: "[He will be out for] Several weeks. I don't know the exact date but it's going to be for long and that's it. That's part of football, you continue," the Portuguese boss said on Friday.

Expected return date: January.

Luke Shaw

Injury: Hamstring.

Upon returning to action in November following a long injury lay-off, Shaw suffered a hamstring injury just weeks after his come back.

What Amorim has said: "Unfortunately, I've had a small setback. I've been through a lot, but this has definitely been my toughest period. I'm absolutely devastated, and it's extremely tough to come to terms with reality at this moment in time."

Expected return date: Unknown.

Matthijs De Ligt

Illness.

The Dutch defender missed the defeat at Tottenham after suffering from a bout of illness. Although he was expected to return to the matchday squad against Bournemouth, he was absent.

Expected return date: vs Wolves (A) - Thursday, December 26.

Victor Lindelof

Injury: Unknown.

After making a rare start against Tottenham, he was replaced by Amorim on the stroke of half-time after sinking to the floor in discomfort.

What Amorim has said: "I think he has something we have to assess to say specifically what he has, but it's tough to lose a player."

Expected return date: Unknown.

Marcus Rashford

Rashford is not injured but has been dropped by Amorim for United's last three matches in all competitions. Rashford gave an interview last week in which he spoke of his desire to seek out a new challenge and hasn't played since.

What Amorim has said: Speaking after the Bournemouth defeat, Amorim was asked if Rashford will be back in contention to face Wolves on Boxing Day and replied: “It depends, we will see.”
