PSG will face Villa at home in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals. Before the game, fans of the two teams clashed outside a bar in Paris.
Videos on social media showed stools being thrown around as weapons and people swinging fists. It is not clear whether the melee was premeditated or what the root cause of the chaos was.
3,000 Aston Villa fans are expected to travel to Paris this week. As Villa has only been allocated 2,000 tickets, 1,000 of them do not have tickets and can only watch the game in bars in Paris.
