There's a chance Villarreal striker Ayoze Pérez won't be fit to play for Spain in their UEFA Nations League match against Switzerland.
La Roja have already secured a seeded quarter-final spot ahead of their final game, so they'll be wrapping up their Nations League campaign against the Swiss.
The match against Switzerland is a big deal for Perez and Barcelona star Pedri, as they're heading back to their hometown of Santa Cruz in Tenerife for their first senior national team game on the island since 1996.
However, despite the big local buzz around two local heroes, Perez had to leave Spain's open training session at the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López because of a muscle issue.
Mundo Deportivo reports that the 31-year-old will have tests in the morning to see if he can play. He's on fire at the moment, with ten goals in ten games for Villarreal this season, and he scored the winner in La Roja's 2-1 win in Denmark last week.
