Guardiola's team played out a goalless draw against the Serie A champions as Erling Haaland and Co. were kept quiet by a tough defence. The English side managed 22 shots over the 90 minutes, but only five were on target as they struggled to get into dangerous positions.
Guardiola was delighted with his team's display despite their failure to break the deadlock, as he admitted Inter's defensive structure made it impossible to create many goal-scoring opportunities.
"We played so good, I love my team. We are a fantastic team. And that team defend really well, they are masters of defending and in transition they are really strong as well," Guardiola told TNT Sports. "We concede one and a half chances... you can't expect to make many chances when a team defends with 11 players so deep."
Guardiola will hope his team have a more prolific display when they take on Premier League title rivals Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
