Portimonense bid for Celtic's Kobayashi

Portimonense have made a bid for Celtic centre-back Yuki Kobayashi.

It’s understood the Portuguese club are seeking a permanent transfer and Celtic have given permission for the 24-year-old to speak to them.

The Hoops have been open to offers for Kobayashi this window, with St Mirren expressing interest in a loan deal earlier in the summer.

Kobayashi joined Celtic from Vissel Kobe in January 2023 but has struggled to break into the first team.
