Benfica secured the top spot in Group C with a 1-0 victory against FC Bayern München, while Chelsea FC advanced to the knockout round as Group D runners-up following a 3-0 win against Espérance.
Left-back Alvaro Carreras and striker Andrea Belotti are poised to return for Benfica under head coach Bruno Lage. Carreras was absent for the Bayern win due to yellow card accumulation, while Belotti served a two-match suspension after receiving a red card in a 2-2 draw against CA Boca Juniors during Benfica's tournament opener.
Chelsea will continue to be without striker Nicolas Jackson, who is serving an additional match ban for his red card in a 3-1 loss against CR Flamengo.

What they said...
"Everyone knows about our quality. It doesn't matter if we started the group with a draw against Boca and ended up beating Bayern Munich. I think we've shown throughout the season that, in difficult times, we've been able to overcome ourselves."
Antonio Silva, Benfica center-back
"We want to win every game. That's what Benfica is all about, winning. Now we have to enjoy first place in the group because it was a difficult group stage. We have to be focused for the next game."
Evangelos Pavlidis, Benfica forward
"We are in the last 16. Hopefully, we can reach the eight. But we need to go game by game and try to beat Benfica."
Enzo Maresca, Chelsea head coach
"Benfica are a good side. They deserved to go through. We know it’s going to be a really tough game so we will get ready for that now. We have to recover, switch our focus to Benfica, and we look forward to that game."
Tosin Adarabioyo, Chelsea center-back
"We've just got to prepare over the next few days and everyone come out fighting, and hopefully we progress."
Liam Delap, Chelsea striker
