Garnacho and United endured a difficult season, finishing 15th in the Premier League before being beaten by Tottenham in the Europa League final.
The Argentine was among the club’s most productive attackers, though, racking up 21 goal contributions in all competitions, a figure beaten only by Bruno Fernandes.
Regardless, Ruben Amorim has shown him to the exit door, instructing him in front of his teammates to find a new club after thier final match of the season, a 2-0 win over Aston Villa. Garnacho, too, had hinted he was looking to move on after being dropped ahead of the Europa League final, saying “I’m going to try to enjoy the summer, then see what happens next.”
And his next steps have been made clearer as The Independent report Aston Villa, Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, and Bayer Leverkusen all hold an interest in negotiating a deal.
Chelsea had been linked with the player in the January transfer window, with a deal thought at the time to be worth £60m.
But United have now hiked up their asking price as they look to raise funds ahead of a comprehensive squad overhaul this summer.
The club are said to be willing to listen to offers for any member of the squad, but Garnacho is thought to be one of the few who is both sellable and worth a considerable fee.
Club captain Fernandes looked to be nearing an exit before turning down a big-money move to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal. Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund has also courted interest from a range of clubs despite publicly committing himself to United.
To sell Garnacho at that price point would give United considerable financial breathing room, easing their PSR standing. So too will the sales of out-of-favour loanees Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Antony.
The attacking reinforcements have already started to land at Old Trafford, with Amorim looking to expand his options after scoring just 44 League goals last season. Matheus Cunha has arrived from Wolves in a £62.5m deal, with reports emerging that the club is nearing a deal to sign Brentford winger Bryan Mbeumo.
They are also in the race to sign Viktor Gyokeres, but face stiff competition from Arsenal.
