Cristiano Ronaldo has dispelled speculation about his future by affirming that he will continue with Al Nassr.
Ronaldo's contract with the Saudi Pro League club is set to expire on June 30.
The Portugal captain mentioned he received offers from clubs in the Club World Cup, but after leading Portugal to the UEFA Nations League title on Sunday, he clarified: "Future? Nothing will change. Al Nassr? Yes."
Al Nassr's sporting director, Fernando Hierro, stated last month that they are in talks for a contract extension with Ronaldo, though they face competition to keep the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Reports indicated that the 40-year-old Ronaldo had a substantial offer from an unnamed Brazilian club and was also linked to Saudi rivals Al Hilal.
Ronaldo suggested last month that he might leave following Al Nassr's final match of the season against Al Fateh, sharing on social media: "This chapter is over. The story? Still being written."
Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr in December 2022 after departing Manchester United, ended the season as the Saudi Pro League's top scorer for the second consecutive year, netting 25 league goals. However, Al Nassr placed third and failed to qualify for next season's AFC Champions League.
Despite tallying 99 goals in 105 appearances for Al Nassr, Ronaldo has not won major trophies with the club, securing only the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023. He recently added a third title with Portugal on Sunday.
Ronaldo scored his 138th international goal, helping Portugal defeat Spain 5-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the final.
The former Real Madrid star has previously captained Portugal to victory in the 2016 European Championship and the 2019 Nations League.
"Winning for Portugal is always special," Ronaldo said. "I have many titles with clubs, but nothing surpasses winning for Portugal. It's emotional, a duty fulfilled, and full of joy."
