Croatia delivered a comprehensive 7–0 victory against Gibraltar in their Group L World Cup qualifier. Six different players found the net in the win.

Mario Pašalić opened the scoring in the 28th minute, followed by Ante Budimir just two minutes later. Franjo Ivanović scored twice in quick succession in the second half (60', 63'), with Ivan Perišić (73') and Andrej Kramarić (77', 79') adding to the tally to secure the victory.

Croatia recorded 30 shots in total, 13 of which were on target. They maintained 69 per cent possession, completed 488 passes with 88 per cent accuracy and earned 12 corners. In contrast, Gibraltar managed only three shots, none of which were on target, and earned only one corner. The Croatian defence remained solid, allowing only 236 passes and restricting Gibraltar to 31 per cent possession.

In terms of disciplinary statistics, Gibraltar committed nine fouls compared to Croatia’s 10. Gibraltar also registered two offsides and neither team received a yellow or red card. Croatia received one yellow card and were caught offside six times.

This result puts Croatia in third place in Group L, with three points from one match and a +7 goal difference. They trail group leaders Czechia, who have nine points from three games and a +7 goal difference, and Montenegro in second place, who have six points from three matches.

Gibraltar remain bottom of Group L with zero points from three matches. They have scored just once while conceding 14 goals, giving them a goal difference of –13. The Faroe Islands, also without a win, are just above Gibraltar with two losses from two matches and a -2 goal difference.

Having secured three points, roatia will now turn their attention to a sterner test when they host the Czech Republic in Osijek on Monday. The other teams in Group L are Montenegro and the Faroe Islands.
