Budget: There is nothing to worry about in terms of PSR, so there is money to spend even after the €150m outlay in January.

What does the team need? Despite a disappointing season, Pep Guardiola is not anticipating a major overhaul. A midfield refresh is on the cards, along with likely a signing at right-back. The rest depends on player departures. Manchester City does not need a goalkeeper currently, but if Ederson is lured by offers from Saudi Arabia, a replacement will be necessary.

Who are the major targets? Manchester City aims to secure midfield deals for AC Milan's Tijjani Reijnders and Nottingham Forest's Morgan Gibbs-White swiftly. Reijnders could join before the Club World Cup, though negotiations for Gibbs-White are more complex. Juventus' Andrea Cambiaso, versatile on both flanks, is a full-back option. If a goalkeeper is required, FC Porto's Diogo Costa is under consideration.

Who could be leaving? Kevin De Bruyne is exiting on a free transfer, and Kyle Walker is expected to depart after his loan at Milan. James McAtee attracted interest from Premier League and Bundesliga clubs in January and might leave if a suitable bid arrives. Jack Grealish's future is uncertain following a sidelined season. Ederson, with one year left on his contract, could be sold to recoup a fee.

Any new contracts? Manchester City is eager to extend deals for Rodri, Phil Foden, and Rúben Dias, though all three are contracted until 2027.
