Chelsea are in discussions with Jadon Sancho's representatives regarding new contract terms, according to Sky Sports.
The Blues want Sancho to remain at the club if they can finalize contract terms that align with their wage structure.
Sancho joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United last August, and Chelsea now hold a £25m obligation to buy. They have the option to pay United a £5m penalty to avoid the buy obligation.
Manchester United signed Sancho for £73m from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, and the 25-year-old has one year left on his high-value United contract, reportedly worth up to £300,000 per week, with an option for an additional year.
Despite Chelsea's interest in keeping him, there is still a possibility that Sancho returns to Manchester United if suitable contract terms are agreed upon. Chelsea cannot match his current wages due to their policy of offering long-term, incentivised contracts with lower base salaries.
Sancho came off the bench and scored in Chelsea's 4-1 victory over Real Betis in the Conference League final on Wednesday night. His 83rd-minute goal, which made the score 3-1 at the time, was his fifth of the season. The winger has also provided 10 assists across all competitions this campaign.
