Bayern Munich officially announced that the team's central defender Eric Dier will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season. According to Bayern's sports director, he will join French Ligue 1 team Monaco as a free agent.
Sports director Freund said: "We have talked to Dier about renewing his contract. He told us that he will not renew his contract and will leave the club. He is a very good person and we have had a good time together. I hope he can put a perfect end to his Bayern career with his first championship title."
Dier was originally loaned to Munich from Tottenham in January 2024, and was then signed by Bayern Munich Football Club the following summer. Dier has played 45 games for Bayern Munich so far and scored 2 goals. It looks like he has a good chance of winning the Bundesliga title this season with Bayern Munich.
