Jac Caglianone was a two-way star at the University of Florida.
His athleticism is obvious in the professional ranks, even though he's just a first baseman and potent hitter now.
And on Thursday for Double-A Arkansas, Caglianone did something that no one at any level of baseball has done yet this season.
Caglianone smacked a line drive at 120.9 miles per hour off the bat for a single.
That's the hardest-hit ball in the majors and minors this season, per Statcast and Trackman systems.
Overall, Caglianone's 120.9 mark would be the 12th-hardest hit ball in the Statcast era.
It just shows how special Caglianone is.
Since being drafted No. 6 overall in 2024, Caglianone has raked. This season, he's hitting .333 with two homers and 11 RBI in his first five games at Double-A.
If Caglianone keeps hitting the ball like this, the calls will increase for him to get moved up to the majors.
