Liverpool's No. 66, Trent Alexander-Arnold, has been sidelined since sustaining an injury in the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield on March 11.

However, Alexander-Arnold is scheduled to rejoin team training on Friday and might be ready to take a spot on the bench at King Power Stadium on Sunday.

When asked about the right-back and his proximity to returning, head coach Arne Slot stated in his pre-match press conference: "Trent is recovering from an injury; he trained with us yesterday, and every time he plays or trains with us, he demonstrates his commitment."

"He has worked incredibly hard to return so soon, and once he's on the pitch, he proves what a fantastic footballer he is and how integral he is to our goals this season."

"He has put in tremendous effort throughout the season and during his rehabilitation to rejoin the team. Liverpool fans, and anyone who has followed football for the past five, six, or seven years, know he is an exceptional full-back and has been for this club—let's see what the future holds."

"[He is] not [ready] to start, but if things go well today and tomorrow, he might—might—be on the bench. However, he definitely won't start, as he has been out for five-and-a-half weeks, and this is likely his first full session with the team."

"I think it was Wednesday when he participated in parts of the team session. So, he's not fit to start, but hopefully, he can join us, especially since Conor Bradley has also been out for a while, making it tough for him to play 90 minutes."

"It would be great if Trent is with us over the weekend, yes."
