Real Madrid have shared a major injury update for this week's Champions League showdown after confirming first choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has come back from injury.

The Belgian international was revealed to be in the squad making the trip to The Emirates for Tuesday night's clash making a tough game for the Gunners even harder.

Courtois has been out of action for the last three games at the Bernabéu after suffering with some calf issue caused by a cyst on his knee.

With second-choice keeper Andriy Lunin also out of action from an injury, it means Los Blancos may have to rely on third-choice 19-year-old Fran Gonzales, who was between the sticks in their 2-1 loss to Valencia.

But after returning to training on Sunday, Courtois will likely be back, although the fixture at The Emirates has come too soon for Lunin.

Speaking on his goalkeeping headache, manager Carlo Ancelotti said: "Courtois is doing better, we think he can make Tuesday. We have doubts about Lunin, who will have a test today and who has had a slight discomfort. If he's not well, we have total confidence in Fran."
