Mallorca vs Celta Vigo
Match preview
Mallorca have won 11, drawn seven and lost 11 of their 29 league games this season to collect 40 points, leaving them ninth in the standings and seven points behind sixth-placed Real Betis in the race for European football.
Jagoba Arrasate's side have been one of the league's worst goalscorers this term, finding the back of the net just 28 times, but they have been relatively solid defensively, conceding just 35 goals.
Mallorca go into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Valencia, their first top-flight loss since the start of February, with 1-1 proving to be their preferred scoreline of late.
Indeed, four of their last seven league games have ended in 1-1 draws, which has prevented them from moving up the table, but ninth place at this stage of the campaign is a solid finish for the Pirates.
Mallorca have taken 23 points from their 15 league games at home this season and will welcome a Celta side who have won just two of their 14 league games away from home.
Celta drew 1-1 with Las Palmas on Monday night to extend their unbeaten run in La Liga to seven games, with their last defeat a 2-1 loss at Valencia in early February.
Claudio Giraldez's side have been in excellent form at home this term, picking up 30 points from 15 games with a record of nine wins, three draws and three defeats, but they have struggled on the road.
Celta have an identical win, draw and defeat record to Mallorca in La Liga this term, but their superior head-to-head record gives them the edge over Saturday's opponents.
The Sky Blues recorded a 2-0 win in Vigo earlier this season, while the two sides drew 1-1 in the 2023-24 campaign.
However, Mallorca have won three of the last five La Liga meetings between the two sides, and Celta's struggles on the road make this an intriguing encounter, especially with both sides still in contention for a European spot this term.

Team News
Vedat Muriqi, Cyle Larin and Robert Navarro are all doubts for Mallorca this weekend, while Samu Costa and Antonio Raillo will miss out due to the yellow cards they picked up against Valencia last time out.
Should Muriqi and Larin both miss out again, it could be a front two of Abdon Prats and Takuma Asano, while Costa's absence from midfield will open the door for Dani Rodriguez.
Raillo's suspension is also likely to open up a place for Johan Mojica at the back, with the 32-year-old possibly being asked to operate as a left-sided centre-back in a 5-3-2 formation.
For Celta, Williot Swedberg is a doubt with a thigh problem, but otherwise the visitors are in excellent shape.
Oscar Mingueza missed the last game against Las Palmas through suspension, but the former Barcelona defender is back in contention for this match and is expected to start.
Alfon Gonzalez got on the scoresheet against Las Palmas and is expected to retain his place, but there could be a change in wide areas, with Fer Lopez possibly replacing Iker Losada on the right.
Possible starting lineup
Mallorca possible starting lineup:
Greif; Maffeo, D Lopez, Copete, Mojica, Lato; Morlanes, D Rodriguez, Darder; Asano, Prats
Celta Vigo possible starting lineup:
Guaita; J Rodriguez, Starfelt, Alonso; Carreira, D Rodriguez, Moriba, Mingueza; F Lopez, Iglesias, A Gonzalez
