Club Brugge have announced that young defender Kyriani Sabbe has signed a deal until 2028.
The right-back had a fantastic 2023/2024 season but has struggled to be a first team regular this time around. An injury to start the season saw him lose his place to another young emerging talent in Joaquin Seys. However, with Seys out injured, Sabbe has been given the opportunity to showcase his talent once again.
Despite the emergence of Seys, it makes perfect sense for Club to tie Sabbe down. Both players will likely attract interest from abroad given their age (20). Club have been one of the best sides in terms of getting the maximum amount for their players and it is through keeping young talent on the books and committing early that they have been able to avoid players running down their contracts and leaving on a free.
The side are currently in second place, hunting a 20th Pro League title.
