Molineux Stadium

Wolves vs West Ham

Match preview

Wolves beat Southampton 2-1 in their most recent Premier League encounter on 15 March, and while the victors only managed 0.36 xG to Saints' 1.37, at this stage of the season it is all about the points on the board.

Vitor Pereira's men have scored in each of their last eight games, although they had conceded in the four games prior to their win over Southampton.

A loss for Wolves on Tuesday could see them move to within three points of Ipswich, who they host in the league on 5 April.

Pereira's side go into the clash having lost two, drawn one and won one of their last four matches in all competitions, but have won three of their last six in the top flight.

Wolves have failed to win three of their last five home games - losing three of them - and have lost five of their last seven at Molineux.

Meanwhile, West Ham would have taken all three points from their clash with Everton had Jake O'Brien's 91st-minute equaliser not cancelled out Tomas Soucek's opener, but the Hammers cannot complain about the scoreline as they created few chances of note.

In fact, Graham Potter's side have only found the back of the net six times in their last eight games, although it should be noted that they have only conceded twice in their last four.

The visitors ran out 2-1 winners against Wolves in their previous meeting on 9 December, extending their winning run against the hosts to three games.

West Ham's form has been positive, with two wins, one draw and just one defeat in their last four games, although they had lost six of their previous eight.

However, Potter will be concerned about his side's away record, having lost three of their last six away from home and winning just once in that time.

Team News

Wolves striker Matheus Cunha is serving a further two-game ban and will miss Tuesday's clash, as will forwards Enso Gonzalez, Leon Chiwome and Sasa Kalajdzic.

The hosts could name an unchanged front three from the one that beat Southampton, so expect Jorgen Strand Larsen, Marshall Munetsi and Jean-Ricner Bellegarde to start.

Matt Doherty, Emmanuel Agbadou and Toti Gomes could start at the heart of defence with Yerson Mosquera not expected to return until August, and the trio could start behind midfielders Andre and Joao Gomes.

For West Ham, strikers Michail Antonio and Niclas Fullkrug will continue to miss out through injury, while Crysencio Summerville is also sidelined.

Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen are likely to be paired in a makeshift front two, with midfielders Lucas Paqueta, James Ward-Prowse and Soucek likely to provide support.

In defence, centre-backs Jean-Clair Todibo, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Max Kilman are the most likely candidates to protect goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

Possible starting lineup

Wolverhampton Wanderers possible starting lineup:
