In an interview with Sky Sports Germany, German Football Association President Bernd Neuendorf said they had agreed with Voller to start a dialogue about his future.
In an interview earlier, Voller said: "I originally planned to retire in 2026, but to be honest, Nagelsmann, this team and the entire team make me miss it."
Bernd Neuendorf said: "We have agreed with Voller that we will have another dialogue as soon as possible to see if we can continue to work together. He is an indispensable part of this team and we have a very, very close relationship."
Völler, who has been director of the German Football Association since February 2023, was initially scheduled to help host the European Championships before signing a contract extension in April this year to the 2026 World Cup.
