On Tuesday, La Liga announced the latest squad cost limits for professional clubs, with Barcelona seeing a significant increase.
According to data provided by the La Liga, Barcelona's new limit is 463.642 million euros, an increase of 37 million euros compared to the previous limit of 426.427 million euros.
In addition, this new limit was achieved after La Liga approved Barcelona's future Camp Nou box development agreement on January 5, and this sale also had a positive impact on the improvement of salary space. Compared with a year ago, Barcelona's limit increased by nearly 260 million euros, when La Liga only approved 204 million euros.
Currently, only Real Madrid (€754.894 million) has a higher limit than Barca, while Atletico Madrid (€314.281 million) is in third place, with its limit increasing by €4 million since the last update.
Barcelona is the club with the largest increase in limit among La Liga teams, while the overall La Liga squad cost limit has risen from 2.608092 billion euros in September last year to 2.671897 billion euros.
