After the 2-1 defeat against VfB Stuttgart on Saturday, new coach Niko Kovac's team now have their next opportunity to turn things around. In the afternoon, the Eurowings plane will take off for the Portuguese capital. Shortly beforehand, the Black & Yellows completed a short programme on the pitch with passing and finishing drills in a windy Dortmund-Brackel.
New winter signing Carney Chukwuemeka, who had to miss out at short notice on Saturday, was back with the team on Monday. Fullback Ramy Bensebaini, on the other hand, was unable to take part in the final training session. The Algerian is suffering from a muscle strain and Kovac will have to do without Bensebaini for the game against Sporting.
