Borussia Dortmund could secure a Champions League spot in the final Bundesliga game of the season if they beat relegated Kiel Holstein at the Signal Iduna Park on Saturday. Dortmund currently have 54 points, just one point behind fourth-placed Freiburg, who occupy the last Champions League spot, while their opponents Dortmund are in 17th place with 25 points and were relegated after a 1-2 loss to Freiburg on May 10.

Dortmund won 4-2 against Bayer Leverkusen, earning three points despite having just over one xG goal and only two clear chances, but scoring five of 13 touches in the box. Dortmund have found the back of the net 19 times in their last six games, but have also conceded nine goals. Head coach Niko Kovac will secure a top-four finish if Freiburg fail to beat third-placed Frankfurt and his side win on Saturday, but a draw would be enough to secure Champions League qualification if Freiburg lose.

It should be said that the hosts are currently only three points ahead of sixth-placed Mainz 05 and seventh-placed RB Leipzig, but their goal difference is 17, five more than Mainz and 11 more than Leipzig. The Black and Yellows enter this weekend's game on a five-game winning streak, which is impressive considering they had only won five of their previous 12 games. Dortmund have been excellent at Signal Iduna Park, with the club winning their last four home games by a cumulative score of 13-4.

The visitors failed to hold on to a 35th-minute one-goal lead against Freiburg and were 2-1 behind by the 58th minute, but their only shot on target came in second-half stoppage time. Holstein Kiel were relegated after the loss, having scored 49 goals and conceded 77 goals in the top flight, making them the seventh worst attacking team in the Bundesliga and the seventh worst defensive team. The team beat Dortmund 4-2 in the first leg on January 14, and head coach Marcel Rapp was very satisfied with the performance of the team's defense that day, as they only faced one major chance.

Holstein Kiel has won two of its last three games, lost only one of its last four games, and is unbeaten in three away games. If they score on Saturday, they will become the 11th team in Bundesliga history to score in every away game in a season.

Dortmund predicted starting lineup:

Kerber; Sule, Anton, Bensebaini; Ryerson, Sabitzer, Nmecha, Svensson; Brandt, Adeyemi; Giraci

Holstein predicted starting lineup:

Dane; Becker, Johnson, Zeke; Rosenboom, Lenberg, Knudsen, Tolkin; Skrzybski; Bernhardson, Maginot
