Real Madrid denies their interest in midfielder from Bayern Munich

Real Madrid could be very busy this summer, with at least two big-money signings on the cards. One of those could be in midfield, and if that is the case, one player who would be well placed to join Carlo Ancelotti's side is Joshua Kimmich.
Kimmich has been regularly linked with Real Madrid in recent months, with the Spanish giants looking to bring in a replacement for Toni Kroos, something they failed to do last summer - and which cost them at the start of the season. The expected departure of Luka Modric also reinforces the idea of bringing in a new player.
The fact that Kimmich would be available as a free agent at the end of the season brings him closer to Real Madrid, and in the last 24 hours there have been reports in Germany that talks have taken place between the two parties. However, this information has now been denied by sources close to Valdebebas, according to Marca.
According to the report, Real Madrid do not have Kimmich in their future plans. The 30-year-old midfielder, who could also be an option at right-back should Trent Alexander-Arnold remain at Liverpool, has only been linked with an "unreturned offer" from the La Liga and European champions.
That would leave Alphonso Davies as the only Bayern player on Real Madrid's radar. Like Kimmich, Davies is out of contract at the end of the season, although it looks as though he will sign a new deal with the Bavarians.
It will be interesting to see what Real Madrid's transfer plans are for this summer. They are desperate to sign Alexander-Arnold and Davies, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see a midfielder brought in to cover for the likely departure of Modric, although if that happens, Kimmich seems to be out of the running.
