Lazio have upped their offer to Chelsea for Cesare Casadei to €12m plus a 25 per cent cut of the sell-on fee, and they're pretty confident that Chelsea will accept.
It's been a bit of a bidding war with Torino of Serie A for a few weeks in this January transfer window, but the Biancocelesti have always been the favourites.
According to Alfredo Pedullà and Fabrizio Romano, the latest proposal has been formalised and should be enough.
It's worth €12m plus 25% of the sell-on fee, which is better than the 10-15% that was offered at first.
This is still less than the one Torino had put forward, which was worth €11m plus a 40 per cent cut, but Casadei is believed to have his heart set on joining Marco Baroni's team.
They're in a four-way battle for a top-four spot in Serie A and have already secured their spot in the Europa League Round of 16, sitting three points clear at the top of the table.
