Chelsea take on De Garden IF at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night for the second leg of their English Premier League semi-final.

Enzo Maresca's side are effectively through to the final following a 4-1 win in Sweden midweek, with a showdown with either Real Betis or Fiorentina set to take place in Wroclaw later this month. Goals from Jadon Sancho and Noni Maduek put the Blues in the driver's seat in the first half before substitute Nicolas Jackson added two more goals to put Chelsea 4-0 up away from home, with Isaac Alemayehu's consolation goal powerless to turn the tide.

Chelsea fans may be feeling a sense of déjà vu as they also led by three goals at home to Legia Warsaw in the quarter-final second leg last month, and although they lost at Stamford Bridge that night, it had little impact on the outcome of the game. Confidence will also be high among the home fans as Chelsea beat champions Liverpool 3-1 in the Premier League at the weekend and go into the second leg on a four-match winning streak, strengthening their chances of making the Champions League.

Maresca’s side travel to Newcastle United in the top five at the weekend, so much of their focus will be there as the manager looks to get the second leg through with the minimum of fuss. The way the first leg went suggests that all will go to plan, and indeed Chelsea have won each of their last three home games against Swedish sides without conceding a goal.

Zolgaarden face the same task away at Legia, and will be hoping to put in a similarly strong performance, and possibly even a win, after a disastrous home defeat last week. For Jani Honkavaara’s side, however, they will be solely focused on improving a poor start to their Swedish Superliga campaign, which has been caused in part by their involvement in European competition. The Swedish side have never won 11 games in a European season before, and they could reach that mark if the visitors are successful here, but Honkawara is more likely to focus on helping his side escape the bottom half of the Swedish top flight. Sunday's 1-1 draw with AIK means they are winless in three post-European league games since the start of the season in March, and they have only picked up eight points from 18 so far this season.

Chelsea predicted starting lineup:

Jorgensen; Acheampong, Badiashile, Tosin, Gusteau; James, Amugu, Dewsbury-Hall; Sancho, Mheka, George

Jurgen predicted starting lineup:

Rinne; Staal, Larsson, Danielsson, Kosugi; Fendel, Stenson, Gullikson; Halala, Nguen, Priske
