Niclas Fullkrug has said on Instagram that he suffered an injury that will keep him out for a "while" during Friday's FA Cup game against Aston Villa.
The German striker posted on Instagram, writing: "Unfortunately, the injury I sustained during Friday's game will sideline me for a while. However, I have already started rehab and will give it my all to return to the pitch as soon as possible."
After the match new manager Graham Potter also confirmed the injury, saying he will be sidelined "for a number of weeks" after he sustained a hamstring injury.
Fullkrug was taken off injured after just 15 minutes when he pulled up. Before he went to ground, he signalled to the bench, clutching his left hamstring and clearly in pain.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, Hammers boss Graham Potter said: "I would imagine it's quite a severe hamstring injury when you pull up like that, so that's a concern for us."
